We will persist in prioritizing Rivers’s welfare – Fubara
The governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has said that his administration will stick to its motto of “Rivers First,” which puts the needs of the people of the state first.
Fubara made this statement on Friday during the praise night in Port Harcourt, which was hosted by the state government to commemorate his first year in office.

In order to advance the state, the governor asked for the people’s support, which was expressed by his deputy, Ngozi Odu.
He called on the populace to fulfill their share in order to support the government in realizing its goal of improving the state’s fortunes.
The governor prayed for God to keep improving the state and moving mountains in its path.

Fubara was pleased to see the spiritual healings and prophecies made at the occasion.
He claimed that these were evidence of the triumph that God had predetermined for the state.
“We shall continue to have this shared vision of putting Rivers state first, but we can’t do it alone.

“We need all of you, big and small, to be there for us, to chip in the little or the much you can, and at the end of this our first tenure, you will see where God will take Rivers state.”
Fubara expressed an appreciation to everyone who attended, highlighting the artists for their singing and dance talents.
“I think there were spiritual ministrations that they have made, and they have also made prophetic declarations that we all said amen to,” he said.

According to The News Agency of Nigeria, praise and worship songs were performed during the ceremony to honor God for Fubara’s first year.
The governor’s wife, Lady Valarie Fubara, retired judge Peter Odili and his wife, retired justice Mary Odili, and justice Simeon Amadi, chief judge of Rivers State, were among the dignitaries in attendance.
