Wanted Delta monarch denies a part in the Delta bloodbath
Clement Ikolo, the traditional head of the Ewu kingdom, has expressed dismay at finding his name on the list of people sought in connection with the Okuama killings.
According to The PUNCH, several enraged youths assassinated commanders and soldiers of the 181 Amphibious Battalion on March 14, 2024, while they were on a peacekeeping operation in the Okuama neighborhood.

Eight people were listed as sought by the Defense Headquarters on Thursday due to their involvement in the most recent killing.
Prof. Ekpekpo Arthur, Andaowei Dennis Bakriri, Akata Malawa David, Sinclear Oliki, Clement Ikolo Oghenerukeywe, Reuben Baru, and Igoli Ebi are the individuals who have been proclaimed wanted.
Speaking from his hiding spot in a widely shared video, the monarch denied any involvement in the deaths.

He said, “To my greatest surprise, I saw my name on the list of wanted persons in connection with the crime.
“Let me state here clearly that I have not been able to access my kingdom to date. I have no hands in the killings. This is a serious crime against humanity, and it is against my faith as a Catholic.

“I have not in any way connected to it. I got my staff of office on November 16, 2023, and it was very turbulent, and the government knows it, so I’m shocked that the government is taken aback.”
The monarch pleaded with the authorities to look into the matter thoroughly in order to identify the perpetrators and hold them accountable.
