Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady, has called kidnappers cowards.

She added that the death penalty should be applied to anyone found guilty of kidnapping.

In response to the reports of over 280 students and teachers abducted in Kaduna State and 200 women abducted in Borno State, she made this statement.

“Whoever is kidnapping young people is sick, cruel, and a coward,” stated Remi Tinubu.

“Enough is enough, and I demand of the state governors that if we apprehend them, they ought to be executed.

Why do they not accept people according to their size? Why do they torment our kids? They are attempting to destroy our future.

Everybody knows that as we age, we must rely on our offspring.

Why would you enter schools and remove them? I believe that enough is enough for now. As a former lawmaker, I think that if any of them are apprehended, they should all be executed.

“We should remove these animals—the kidnappers—from our midst because they are bad.

“The state governors and the lawmakers should do something.”


According to PUNCH, militants from Boko Haram are said to have abducted 200 women from the Borno State local government areas of Gamboru-Ngala and Dikwa.

It was reported that the women, who were internally displaced people, had been abducted while searching the bush for firewood.

Additionally, on Thursday, bandits abducted around 280 students and teachers from Government Secondary School and LEA Primary School in Kuriga, Kaduna State, igniting a national outcry.

At least 280 students and teachers from both schools were reportedly taken away by the bandits on Thursday after they broke into the Kuriga region of the Chikun Local Government region in Kaduna State and began shooting at their victims.
