Tinubu refuses to assign blame for Nigeria’s problems. -Shettima
President Bola Tinubu was aware of Nigeria’s problems, according to Vice President Kashim Shettima, who also stated that he would never place blame but rather accept accountability.
He gave the Nigerians his word that Tinubu was thinking about Nigeria.

This was in line with his declaration that the government would take accountability and work toward answers rather than assign blame or dispute the problems facing the nation.
The Vice President said as much during a Tuesday book launch for Sam Omatseye, the chairperson of The Nation Newspaper’s Editorial Board. The book is titled “Beating all Odds: Diaries and Essays on how Bola Tinubu became President.”
The President “took the bull by the horns” by eliminating the gasoline subsidy and toppling the multiple exchange rate system, according to Shettima, the Special Guest of Honour at the event. Shettima called Tinubu “a man of courage and conviction.”

“Be assured that Nigeria is on the President’s mind,” stated the Vice President. We acknowledge that we are facing difficulties, but we are not in the position to assign blame.
Assuming responsibility and resolving issues facing the country are key components of leadership. The President is a brave and sincere individual. He made significant decisions during his first week in office.
The Nigerian economy and the country as a whole had been burdened by the oil subsidies. He pulled the fuel subsidy on the first of the month, taking the bull by the horns. The multiple exchange rate regime was brought down by him, opening the door for a great deal of hanky-panky. And you may be confident that history will treat him well when the fullness of time arrives.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who was represented by Deputy Chief Whip Peter Nwebonyi (Ebonyi North), praised the book’s descriptions of the President’s attributes and asked Nigerians to back him in his message of goodwill.
“As we move forward with our current stage of governance, I humbly ask for the indulgence of all Nigerians and all branches of government to grant the President all the support he needs to achieve his goals. We will surely arrive in the promised land with the help of the Renewed Hope agenda, our dedication to our national duty, and perseverance, he stated.
Former Ogun State Governor and Chairman on the Occasion Olusegun Osoba, Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, former APC National Chairman and Senator Adams Oshiomhole, Senator James Ibori, and former Governor of Delta State were also present at the event.
