Tinubu greets diplomats and strives for world peace
On Friday, President Bola Tinubu made a plea for world peace and stability, focusing on Africa and other hotspots.
He said that it is possible to achieve such an ideal and urged countries to strive toward ensuring peace in unstable areas.

“It is time for us to bring peace and stability to the world. Stability and peace are attainable. We should all come together to promote peace in the world,” Tinubu told members of the Diplomatic Corps and Heads of International Organisations whom he hosted for Iftar at the State House, Abuja.
As per the remarks made by Ajuri Ngelale, his Special Advisor on Media and Publicity, the President underscored the significance of tolerance and persistence in promoting global peace and security.
The statement is titled, ‘President Tinubu appeals for peace in Africa and trouble spots around the globe.’

“It is an honour for me to speak to you collectively and share with you the diverse culture that Nigeria embodies. Sharing this moment with you is a privilege for us,” the Nigerian leader said.
President Tinubu said, “Ramadan is a period of self-denial, sharing, tolerance, and perseverance,” as he thought about the core of the holiday.
“It is a time for us to bring peace and stability to the world. I appreciate your coming and sharing of peace with us.”

He urged Diplomatic Corps members to provide more care and assistance to the poor and vulnerable, emphasizing that it is our shared duty to advance world peace and stability.
“Let us in our hearts care for the needy and those who have nothing.
“Together, we can promote peace and stability in the world. It is what you need to convey to your various countries, that stability and peace are attainable.

“We should all come together to promote peace in the world. There will be no economic stability without peace in the world,” the President stated.
Salaheddine Ibrahim, the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and High Commissioner of Cameroon, conveyed her appreciation for President Tinubu’s kind invitation to enjoy Iftar.
He prayed for Nigeria to receive the blessings of the final days of Ramadan and wished President Tinubu a prosperous tenure leading to peace and prosperity in the nation.

Ibrahim congratulated the President for giving Nigerians hope again and gave him the assurance that the world community is a true partner for Nigeria.
Tinubu had earlier participated in the concluding of the Ramadan Tafsir at the State House mosque among other devout Muslims.
He exhorted the Ummah to live in peace and harmony with one another in order to uphold the lessons of the Holy month beyond the period of fasting.

“I want to thank God Almighty that we started this Ramadan with the opening knowledge of Tafsir.
“I thank the Imams for their dedication, love, and commitment to the faith.
“My appeal is for them to continue to preach the sermon of goodwill,’’ Tinubu concluded.
