South Africa and Nigeria fortify their defense cooperation
In order to solve the many security issues plaguing the African continent, Chief of Defense Staff Gen. Christopher Musa has urged for strengthening connections between the Armed Forces of Nigeria and the South African National Defence Force.
Musa made the call while paying Gen. Rudzani Maphwanya, the head of the South African National Defense Force, an official visit in Pretoria, South Africa.

This was said in a statement made on Tuesday in Abuja by Brig.-Gen. Tukur Gusau, acting director of defense information.
The CDS stated that while the summit was hailed as a solution to all of the continent’s problems, cooperation and the strengthening of bilateral relations were also critical.
He claimed that different strategies to solve regional security issues were the main focus of their private meeting with their South African counterpart.
