The National Military Cemetery in Abuja has opened for the funeral ceremonies for the soldiers who died in Delta State.

Leading government figures, including leaders of security agencies and the armed forces, are accompanying President Bola Tinubu to the solemn occasion. Before the ceremonies began, prayers were said for the fallen warriors’ souls to rest.

According to The PUNCH, 17 people—13 soldiers and four officers—were killed in Delta State while on a peace mission.
