Petitioner and police differ on Aiyedatiwa’s certificate probe
Oladotun Hassan, an attorney, has filed a petition with the Police Service Commission and Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun regarding the actions of a purported high-ranking official who tampered with the findings of an investigation into the educational background of Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
As per a report allegedly bearing the signature of DCP Tahir Usman, the Deputy Commissioner Police, Force Criminal Investigation Department, Abuja, the police inquiry concerning Aiyedatiwa’s O-level certificate found no evidence of the Ondo governor’s attendance at Ikoyi High School, Ikosi-Ketu, Lagos.

The paper headed “RE: Alleged Fraudulent Misrepresentation, Forgery of Certificates, Malpractice in Examinations, and Perjury,” declared that: “That there is no any proof to show that the suspect, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa, attended Ikosi High School, Ikosi Ketu, Lagos as a student.”
