“It is extremely concerning that Dangote Industries and certain government agencies have recently clashed,” Obi said.

He emphasized that the problem is essentially about Nigeria’s economy and the welfare of its people, not about political affiliations or individual grievances.

Highlighting the refinery’s potential impact, Obi said, “The refinery has the potential to generate approximately $21 billion in annual revenue and create over 100,000 jobs, with numerous additional positive impacts on the economy.”

He underscored its strategic importance in addressing Nigeria’s fuel crisis and boosting foreign exchange earnings.

He said, “The refinery is too vital to fail and must not be hindered, considering its crucial role in our national welfare.”

In addition to praising Aliko Dangote’s contributions to Nigeria’s industrial landscape, Obi described him as an African and national brand that represents dedication, patriotism, and successful enterprise.

He highlighted the breadth of Dangote’s industrial holdings, encompassing more than 15 industries like as petrochemicals, sugar, cement, and fertilizers.

Obi declared, “Alhaji Dangote deserves full support and protection for his unwavering dedication to Nigeria’s industrialization, job creation, and economic growth, despite adversities.”

He maintained that businesses like Dangote Industries should be recognized as national assets deserving of strong support and preservation in light of Nigeria’s present economic difficulties.

The former governor of Anambra State urged the federal government to acknowledge Dangote’s accomplishments and extend all required assistance, with special attention to the refinery.

“The success of Dangote is intrinsically linked to the success of Nigeria and Africa,” Obi said, warning that its failure would be a significant setback for both the country and the continent.
