Osimhen wishes to play for Chelsea – Mikel
Prior to the summer transfer window, Victor Osimhen, a star player for Napoli, ‘wants to come to Chelsea,’ according to former midfielder John Obi Mikel.
The 25-year-old Nigerian striker, who recently told the press that he’s “already decided” his next move, is most likely going to leave the Partenopei at the end of the current campaign. In December, he signed a new deal with Napoli that has a release clause worth between €120 and €130 million.

Osimhen’s summer transfer to the Premier League has been heavily speculated about, with Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United among the many teams who could be interested.
Using Calciomercato.com, Mikel spoke at the Web Summit Qatar and began by talking about the connections between Osimhen and Chelsea.
“I think there is genuine interest on both sides. I’m convinced that Victor wants to come to Chelsea, obviously he wants to follow in my footsteps and the Nigerian players who played for Chelsea, such as Victor Moses, Celestine Babayaro…”

Obi Mikel concluded by talking about the other teams that are considering signing Osimhen this summer.
“He also has many clubs interested in him, such as PSG, Manchester United, but I am pushing, sending him messages, trying to make sure that there is only one club in his mind: the Blues!”
