Oscars: Current Nominees in All Four Acting Categories Will Be Introduced by Five Previous Winners (Exclusive)
The Academy is reintroducing a very well-liked concept that it attempted for the first time at the Oscars event fifteen years ago.
Hollywood reporter, Scott Feinberg who was among the many who watched the 2009 Oscars ceremony said, Oscar 2009 remains an all time favourite for those who watched it.
One of what makes it so is the exciting way the four acting Oscars were presented: The five nominees for each award this year were introduced by five previous winners.

Massive standing ovations were given by the Dolby audience (even veteran presenters of award shows, Brad Pitt and Meryl Streep, looked utterly thrilled in cutaway shots); previous winners’ introductory remarks moved current nominees (Anne Hathaway broke down in tears); and the new winners received group hugs that felt like they were being welcomed into an exclusive fraternity or sorority (see: Kate Winslet).
Producers Laurence Mark and Bill Condon created that night, and in the fifteen years that have passed, Oscar fans have been pleading with the Academy to revive this Field of Dreams-style program.

According to information obtained by The Hollywood Reporter and confirmation from the Academy, on March 10th, they will get their wish.
The Academy never announces who will present which awards ahead of the big night, but it is safe to assume that Brendan Fraser, Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, and Jamie Lee Curtis, the four acting winners from last year, will be among the five presenters for their respective categories. Yes, they were all included in the initial roster of officially confirmed presenters that the Academy revealed on Monday.

It’s also likely possible to decipher some of the other previous winners who will be presenting alongside them by reading between the lines of that announcement. The list featured previous winners of best actor, Nicolas Cage, Matthew McConaughey, and Al Pacino; previous winners of best actress, Jessica Lange; previous winners of best supporting actor, Mahershala Ali, and Sam Rockwell; and previous winners of best supporting actress, Lupita Nyong’o. (The Academy will reveal other presenters in the days to come.)
