NEWS: Putin swears in for a record-breaking fifth term as president

In a grandiose ceremony held at the Kremlin on Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin took the oath of office for a record-breaking fifth term, giving him unprecedented power.

Since the year 2000, the 71-year-old has ruled Russia. In March, he won presidential elections with no opposition and was re-elected for a six-year term.
