Man with car and motorcycle master keys is captured by police

According to the Kaduna State Police Command, its agents have apprehended a person who possesses thirty distinct counterfeit master keys for automobiles and motorbikes in the state.

The arrest was verified by the command’s spokesperson, ASP Mansir Hassan, to the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday in Kaduna.

Hassan said, “The suspect specialises in vehicle and motorcycle theft.

“On July 20, at about 0230hrs our personnel received a distress call that a shop was burgled.“Upon receiving information, our operatives were immediately drafted to the area.”

He added that Zahradeenee Suleiman, the suspect, had been taken into custody inside the store before he arrived at the site.

He claims that the 35-year-old suspect lives on Galma Road in the Tsugugi neighborhood of Kaduna State’s Sabon Gari Zaria Local Government Area.

“Upon search, about 30 different sizes of keys of vehicle and motorcycles were recovered including two locally fabricated master keys in his possession,” Hassan said.

He noted that the guy was allegedly an expert at stealing cars and motorbikes.

Hassan stated that following the conclusion of the inquiry, the suspect would be charged and brought before the court for prosecution.

According to PUNCH, the same command stated on June 1 that its agents had captured an international suspect in automobile theft from Kano State, simply known as Mubarak Kabiru, along the upscale Alkali Road in Kaduna.

PPRO Hassan stated that the arrest was made possible by a tip from a Good Samaritan, who said that he was asked to help retrieve a Lexus LX470 Jeep from a technician.

A police spokesman stated that in an additional round of arrests on June 21, agents captured one Chinago Harrison, a suspected auto burglar in the Ungwan Romi neighborhood of Kaduna State, near Manya Street.

The state police command reported earlier in January that three suspected automobile snatchers had been apprehended by their agents.

According to Hassan, the suspects were taken into custody in Agoro-Tudun Wada Zaria on December 23, 2023, by police officers assigned to the Zaria City Divisional Headquarters.
