Make domestic autos a priority, ANAMMCO urges govt, corporate firms

In order to generate jobs and strengthen the national economy, the Anambra Motor Manufacturing Company has urged business organizations and governments at all levels to prioritize buying locally manufactured automobiles.

This was in line with the company’s statement that their trucks are extremely robust and durable, have straightforward engines for reduced fuel use, and are reasonably priced, all while taking into consideration Nigerian roads, fuel availability, and economy.

This was stated on Thursday by Chinelo Igwe, General Manager of ANAMMCO, at a press conference held at the 35th Enugu International Trade Fair, which is now underway.

The fair’s theme is “Promoting made-in-Nigeria products for global competitiveness,” and it opened on April 5.

Supporting locally produced automobiles, according to Igwe, would increase output and generate a large number of jobs, which would further reduce crime, particularly among young people.

According to her, the company is working with Dongfeng to manufacture light-, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks that can survive Nigerian roads and move tons of cargo throughout the entire nation.

She states that ANAMMCO offers a one-year service warranty on its vehicles and that the company has repair workshops in all 36 states of the federation and readily available parts for every truck thanks to a synergy with GUO Motors.

“Our trucks are made with Nigerian roads, fuel supply and economy in mind, they are highly durable and rugged, with simple engines for lower fuel consumption while they are easily affordable.

“The trucks are 100 per cent manufactured in the country with locally sourced materials, with seasoned professional plant workers and time-tested technicians to give sound after-sales servicing and repairs.

“These trucks are our own. We want massive patronage for all our trucks to make our plant facilities perform optimally and enable us to employ additional thousands of youths,” she said.

Additionally, Mr. Uche Uba, the Director-General of the Enugu Chamber of Commerce, stated that ANAMMCO had a long history of building very high-quality, long-lasting automobiles.
