The National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education Bill 2023 was approved by former President Muhammadu Buhari on May 28, 2023, and Sharada, the Kano Municipal House of Representatives member who was leaving, was named Executive Secretary.

Tijani Abbas has been appointed by the President as his Senior Special Assistant on Chieftaincy Matters.

In order to ensure that his administration’s goal of providing Nigeria’s out-of-school children with the most comprehensive education is realized in the paramount interest of the country’s future, the President anticipates that the new appointees will “bring their vast experience into these important roles, which impact the very core of society.”
