In Kano, hoodlums murder one and hurt two police officers
In the Kano city, some alleged thugs caused havoc in Jaen Makera’s quarters, leaving one person dead and two police officers injured.
This was revealed by Usaini Gumel, the outgoing Commissioner of Police, during a Thursday phone conversation in Kano with the News Agency of Nigeria.

He claimed that during the encounter, Muktar Garba, also known as Babalia, was killed by the accused.
Garba passed away while undergoing care at the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital in Kano, according to Gumel, who also stated that his body has been given to his family members for burial.
The head of police claimed that the dangerously armed thugs had attacked innocent persons in defiance of their presence.

He claimed that once more police tactical team members and adjacent divisions were sent to the area, the unruly individuals left, and the area was once again peaceful.
The commissioner stated that more work is being done to find and apprehend the offenders.
He claimed that on Wednesday, at Yan Dillalai and Jaen Makera, several additional gangs of miscreants got into street fights and used deadly weapons before the police unit broke them up.

According to Gumel, the two police officers hurt in the incident—SC Wasilu Umar and PC Abdulmalik Yusif—were treated at the hospital and later released.
He claimed that when a car connected to Filin Hockey was being destroyed, a suspect, Umar Shuaibu, was taken into custody for attacking Yusif.

According to the Commissioner, the command works to address the root causes of violence and advance the long-term peace and welfare of all those impacted.
He noted that while police officers are keeping an eye on the situation, normalcy has restored to the region.
