In an Ogun cult confrontation, one person was slain and another was arrested

One cultist was killed and another was taken into custody on Tuesday in Ogun State following a violent altercation between competing cult groups.

This was revealed on Wednesday by the Ogun State Police Command in a post on X.com.

The command wrote, “Death of a cultist: May, 2024. One Segun aka “Ojo Ibo was killed and his right wrist chopped off, at about 2130hrs of 14th May, 2024 after being chased by a rival cult at Bode Olude Junction.

“One Ishola Joseph, a cultist, was nabbed and beaten while trying to escape.”

PUNCH Metro reported in April that a yet-to-be-identified person was killed in a suspected cult clash that occurred in the Bode Olude area in the Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State.

In the Alogi neighborhood of Odeda LGA in the state, one Azeez Olaitan was allegedly assassinated that same month by people who were allegedly affiliated with the Aiye Fraternity.
