Terkaa Aondo, a well-known human rights attorney with an office in Abuja, Wendy Kuku, the legal adviser for the Independent National Electoral Commission, and Paul Daudu, the chairman of the NBA Bwari branch, have all been shortlisted.

The names were on a paper that our correspondent in Abuja received on Tuesday, and it was signed by Hajo Bello, the Secretary of the LPPC, and the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court.

The letter states that the selected names are not a sign of the lawyers’ success in the process, but rather are provided so that the general public may remark on the lawyers’ reputations, competency, and honesty.

The document read, “The general public is hereby invited to comment on the integrity, reputation, and competence of the listed Applicants.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the publication of the names of the shortlisted Applicants is not an indication of their success in the process”.

Eleven attorneys were selected for the academic category and a total of 87 attorneys for the advocate category.
