How I gave Yvonne Nelson's book my endorsement without realizing she had slandered me - Iyanya

Nigerian musician Iyanya has disclosed that he approved of the contentious memoir “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,” written by his ex-girlfriend, actress Yvonne Nelson, from Ghana, without realizing she had disparaged him in it.

Recall that the Ghanaian superstar talked about her adventures with Iyanya and how she eventually discovered he was having an affair with Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh in a chapter titled “Iyanya And My Love Life.”

During an interview with The Beat 99.9 FM, Lagos, a radio station in Lagos, Iyanya stated he recommended the book without being aware of its contents.

The musician claimed that he is still not ready to address the claims of infidelity made by his ex-girlfriend, despite having vowed to do so when the book was released last year.

He mentioned that they still get along well and keep in touch.

He said, “I endorsed Yvonne Nelson’s book without knowing I was in the book. We were cool, we still talk to this day, so I didn’t know that I was in the book. When the book came out, everywhere was buzzing. People were telling me I am in the book. But I have not read it till now.

“I know I promise to address the allegations she made in her book, but I’m not ready to respond. I’m not going to respond to stuff like that, being me comes with a lot of madness.”
