Gloves off : Davido and Wizkid trade more barbs online
On Monday night, the online competition between musicians David Adedeji, better known as Davido, and Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, continues.
Wizkid has made fun of Davido earlier. He uploaded a leaked video of Davido pleading with what appeared to be a female acquaintance on X in response to a fan’s desire for new music.

The Grammy-winning performer also called Don Jazzy, the successful music producer and label owner, a “influencer.”
On the microblogging site, this caused a stir, with many people asking what might be wrong with both men.
On Monday night, though, Davido posted a slew of cryptic tweets that are thought to be in retaliation to the Ojuelegba singer.

Davido reportedly tweeted, “Dem no know your Gbedu,” in reference to Wizkid, who had announced that he will release his highly awaited album Morayo in May.
The Aiye singer did not stop tweeting, saying that “darkness disappears when light comes.” Now let’s move.
Along with the video, Davido shared a picture of his wife, Chioma Adeleke, saying, “They were trying to distract us, baby no mind dem.”

Wizkid meanwhile responded with first a dig, tweeting, “U and all ur crew plus ur pant washer songwriter go to sleep at night thinking you got anything on me in music 🤣😂 wish u all well ✌️”
“You know what…no point,” he tweeted in response. “Pray for you all, delusional niggas 😇,” was responded to with a straight quotation from Davido, “WE NOT DELUSIONAL YOU’RE A SICK MAN,” implying that there was still love between the two Afrobeat artists.
Without holding back, the Jaiye Jaiye crooner cited the tweet containing the same Davido video that had leaked.

Many people will be surprised to learn of the rift between the two superstars, given that they were recently seen cuddling in a Lagos nightclub.
Prior to the club meeting, Wizkid revealed his ambitions for a combined tour with his adversary in 2023.
The trip will take place following the tour for his fifth studio album, “More Love, Less Ego (MLLE),” which was released in mid-2023, he announced on his Instagram account.
