Date of wedding scheduled by varsity lecturer and student following viral Valentine's Day proposal

The wedding date has been announced by Wisdom Anucha, an Abia State University lecturer who gained attention earlier in February after putting a proposal to his fiancée, Grace, in her classroom on Valentine’s Day.

According to PUNCH Online, Anucha proposed to his girlfriend—who is reportedly a student in the university’s optometry department—in front of colleagues by getting down on one knee and holding a ring in his palms.

The lecturer revealed they had their parents’ approval and are prepared to “walk down the aisle” in a wedding invitation that was shared on his Facebook page on Friday.

“#Ugo_Wizzy__2024!,” Anucha wrote. With the permission of our parents, Grace and Wisdom sincerely welcome you to be a special guest when “We” walk down the aisle. We do this with every bit of decency, respect, and responsibility.

The date is Saturday, April 6, 2024.

Location: St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Umuocham.
