In a post on Thursday, X user Solomon_Buchi expressed his worries, saying, “Asake keeps disrespecting the Christian faith in his music videos.” It is insulting to dramatize the eucharist while dressed in priestly costume for a music video that has nothing to do with Christianity.
“He shows black goats charging into the chapel with cloven tongues of fire above strange men in his Bandana movie. I believe Asake to be a Muslim. Why doesn’t he do the same kind of extreme measures to disgrace his Muslim faith?
“Why do Christians even listen to these musicians who bluntly disrespect Christianity?”

“This video is a 2/10, who directed it?” BG_Liberty wrote. Who gave the idea the green light? How insulting to Christianity! I hope you could give your own religion a try.
@AniBae94, another X user, stated: “Asake is at it again, disguised as a priest and handling the communion in an ungodly manner, demeaning Christianity. This is after using more than 50 goats to make a worldly music video in church. Right now, I’m really annoyed.
“Unity and oneness it lacking in the Christian-dom. Imagine something as degrading and abusive to your faith, yet most people hold different opinions about it. It’s a shame and that’s why the divide amongst us will only grow wider. We can’t even speak as one voice.”

“My problem is that Christians would still listen to his songs,” X user AbjaySeries stated. You’re still making “fan” handfans while someone is making fun of your religion?
Remember how Olamilekan Taiwo, better known by his stage name Logos Olori, a singer signed to Afrobeat David Adeleke’s record label, Davido Music Worldwide, received criticism from Muslims for his July 2023 music video “Jaye Lo,” which featured scenes near a mosque and included phrases from Islam. Some fans felt the video was insensitive.

In the 45-second clip, multiple men dancing in front of a mosque while wearing white Jalabias and headgear. Olori was also shown perched on a speaker that was fixed to the building’s roof.
The singer’s portrayal and the fact that she said “Alhamdulillah” (praise be to God) drew criticism from certain fans, especially Muslims, who thought the video was disrespectful.
