This honor comes after Caleb University was named the Best Private University in Nigeria for 2024.

The achievement is evidence of the university’s dedication to academic quality, cutting-edge research, and student success, according to a statement released on Friday by Olawale Adekoya, the information, media, and publication specialist at the institution.

“For us to be winning national and international recognitions in quick succession is proof that we remain a showcase of the best and brightest,” Vice Chancellor Prof. Nosa Owens-Ibie was quoted by Adekoya as saying. Caleb University is the owner of the future.

“The ranking recognises the institution’s dedication to the Sustainable Development Goals, providing a world-class education, fostering a culture of innovation, and producing talented graduates who make a positive impact globally.”

Caleb University aims to be the best among its competitors, according to Prof. Olalekan Asikhia, Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Research, Innovation, Strategy, and Administration.

“When in 2021, Caleb University was ranked 66th in Nigeria, the management went to the drawing board, held meetings, and brainstormed. The target then was to put the university in the top 30 by the year 2024.

“However, the top 20 placement in 2024 came as an amazingly pleasant surprise; a result of collective acceleration efforts. We have surpassed our strategic plan projection of top 30 by 2024. This is a great feat in all its ramifications, being our first global ranking,” Asikhia submitted.

The leading worldwide university ranking organization, Times Higher Education, evaluates colleges by recognizing and honoring those that achieve a number of UN Sustainable Development Goals.

THE also takes into account universities that excel in specific areas and show a broad commitment to supporting global sustainable initiatives. These universities demonstrate a dedication to tackling the world’s most pressing issues, such as partnerships, social inclusion, economic growth, environmental sustainability, and the vital role that academia plays in promoting sustainable change.
