Buy Naija to Grow Naira - Reno Omokri

Reno Omokri has encouraged Nigerians to buy naira to grow naija. He said that today on his twitter handle. He advocates that one of the ways to grow the naira is to patronize the made in Nigeria products.

He is using a hashtag #GrowNairaBuyNaija and #BuyNaijaToGrowTheNaira. He said more Nigerians are now beginning to use the Glo network.

Omokri is the founder of the Free Leah Sharibu movement, a media campaign advocating for the freedom of Leah Sharibu, a Christian girl who was kidnapped by the radical Islamic sect, Boko Haram, on February 19, 2018. Boko Haram offered to release Sharibu if she would convert to Islam, but she refused to do this.

Omokri mocked those who scorned him when he started #GrowNairaBuyNaija .

He said, “Where are those people who laughed at me when I started #GrowNairaBuyNaija and said it would never work? Where are those who mocked when the Naira began to appreciate and said it will not last? We have gotten data.

“Instead of Naira crashing, it is MTN that is crashing. Nigerians are abandoning MTN and Airtel and porting to Glo. Soon, there will be no $20 million going to South Africa and India daily from Nigeria. Innoson is getting more orders. Air Peace is seeing a spike in sales.
