Breaking: People bemoan the closure of Facebook and Instagram

Users of Twitter and Facebook, two well-known social media platforms, have expressed regret about the services’ Tuesday closure.

Punchng correspondent checked a number of Facebook and Instagram accounts and found that the users were unable to access them.

While Instagram’s user profiles and homepage cannot be updated, Facebook compels its current users to log in to their accounts.

As a result, users of the social media sites expressed their regret over the services’ closure on X.

Ighodaro Peace (@peace_igho), an X user, tweeted, “Who logged us out of Facebook ooo.”

Lidia Curanaj (@LidiaNews), a user from New York, tweeted, “Facebook and Instagram down,” and @RealRazziebinx, a social media influencer from the Philippines, wrote, “Is it just me or Facebook logged me out? The world is probably ending. I’ll see you folks.

“Me after checking on Twitter that Meta is just down and I’m not hacked since my Instagram isn’t loading and my Facebook got “session locked out.” 😂,” wrote @RaphealMiguel beside a relieved photo.

On Facebook, @Avviexo wrote, “Is anyone else’s account logged out? It keeps saying “session expired or unexpected error,” so I can’t log back in.

Photojournalist for Nigerian sports, @PoojaMedia, also responded to the suspension by stating, “Everyone logged out and all Facebook accounts’ sessions expired.” You need to re-log in. If you can still recall your passwords, good luck. 😭

In addition, well-known X user @bod_republic asked, “Facebook and Instagram down?”

As of the time this report was filled out, Mark Zuckerberg’s companies, Facebook and Instagram, had not responded to the difficulties that their users were facing.
