Breaking: Ondo APC gubernatorial candidate dies in Lagos after alerting authorities to a threat to his life.

Prior to the Ondo gubernatorial election, the APC candidate for governor had expressed concern a few days earlier about an alleged threat to his life.

Paul Akintelure, a candidate running for governor of Ondo State under the umbrella of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has died.

Akintelure reportedly suffered from chest trouble for four days before passing away on Tuesday in a Lagos State hospital. Prior to the Ondo gubernatorial election, the APC candidate for governor had expressed concern a few days earlier about an alleged threat to his life.

Mr. Alex Kalejaiye, the publicity secretary for the Ondo APC, confirmed his death to reporters. “It is true, I can confirm it. We will issue a statement about it shortly,” Kalejaiye reportedly stated.
