Breaking: Gunmen storm a town in Kogi, many feared dead
Agojeju-Odo, a hamlet in Kogi State’s Omala Local Government Area, was overrun by several thugs on Friday.
According to the Daily Post, the armed men are suspected of shooting neighbors and setting houses on fire.

But in a phone conversation with our correspondent, SP William Aya, the public relations officer for the state police, acknowledged the attack and mentioned that tactical units had been sent to the area by state Commissioner of Police Bethrand Onuoha.
“Yes, there was an attack in the village in Omala. The CP has deployed the enforcement team along with other security agencies.”

In order to “ascertain the cause of the attack and to unravel the perpetrators,” Aya stated that an investigation is still underway.
