Gambaryan got up from the wheelchair and cautiously entered the dock when the matter was called.

Ogechi Ujam, the attorney for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, informed the court that although the case was set for trial continuation, Ekele Iheanacho, the commission’s main attorney, was not present.

In order to allow Iheanacho to conduct the trial, Ujam implored the court to put the matter on hold.
