At close, Hong Kong stocks continue to decline
As investors anxiously anticipated the release of significant US inflation statistics and the conclusion of the Federal Reserve’s most recent policy meeting, Hong Kong equities saw more losses on Wednesday.
At 17,937.84, the Hang Seng Index dropped 238.50 points, or 1.31 percent, from its peak.

The Shenzhen Composite Index on China’s second market increased by 0.58 percent, or 9.76 points, to 1,693.91, while the Shanghai Composite Index advanced 0.31 percent, or 9.42 points, to 3,037.47.
