Kanayo says as he welcomes son to filmmaking as assistant manager

Kanayo O. Kanayo, a seasoned Nollywood actor, just brought his first son, Clinton Mbaise, into the spotlight.

Kanayo announced on Monday that Clinton will be joining Simpliciter Associates Productions, his production firm, as his personal assistant and assistant production manager in a video that was uploaded on his Instagram page.

Kanayo emphasized in the video that his son should be treated like any other crew member because he is there to work.

He asked that Clinton not be given any preferential treatment because of his kinship.

He said, “This is Clinton Onyeze Mbaise, my first son. And he is joining us today as assistant production manager and as my personal assistant.

“Do not treat him like my son. It is a warning I am giving to everybody. He is here to work. He is going to earn a fee like every other person. Do not begin to say na K.O.K son. I no dey for that kind thing. Treat him as a member of the production crew.”

The actress also disclosed that Clinton recently received her information and communication technology degree from Babcock University.

“So please, he is joining us today. He has just finished from Babcock University. He studied ICT. He is going to understudy the production manager and learn this work

“Treat him with respect to the extent that you are treating others with respect. That is what I want him to grow into. I do not want you to spoil my son for me when you are not telling him not to do some things,” he added.

Kanayo wrote in his caption that Clinton will first pursue studies in management and filmmaking before moving on to other courses.

He also stated that he thought it was important for kids to work in the companies or other places that their families owned.
