Army finds a gun factory in Delta and makes eight arrests
An illegal gun factory was discovered by the Nigerian Army’s 63 Brigade in the Onicha Olona hamlet of Delta State’s Aniocha North Local Government Area.
The plant can create ten firearms a week, according to the Commander of the 63 Brigade, Brigadier General Ugochukwu Unachukwu, who made this claim at the location of the illicit arms factory.

He declared, “Those apprehended at the factory included eight suspects connected to the family company, including the operation’s mastermind as well as his mother, father, and sister.
The weapons factory, which is situated in a forest, features a store of weapons and ammunition, a generating set that is connected from a distance, a surveillance post, and an iron melting furnace.
“We have recovered items for the manufacturing of improvised explosive devices IEDs including shrapnels, detonators, and the container”

According to the army commander, a significant factor in the nation’s and the region’s instability is the suspects’ actions.
Only the IPOB and Eastern security networks employ drones and other improvised explosive devices in this axis.
“This guy is upgrading an AK-47 magazine to hold 60 rounds instead of the standard 30.

He continued, “Anybody that is involved in an act of insurgency that is against the peace and stability of Nigeria, we will get to you.”
Emmanuel Eboka, the key suspect, 22, acknowledged renting some weapons to criminal elements for predetermined sums of money.

Four kidnapped victims were saved by Delta State Police Command agents in the jungles of the Orerokpe community in the Okpe Local Government Area in September.
PUNCH Metro learned that their rescue came about as a result of a distress call made to the Orerokpe Divisional Police on September 11, 2023, at approximately 0400hrs. The caller reported that four community members (names withheld) who were traveling along the Abraka-Eku Expressway had been kidnapped by Orerokpe Bridge and that the kidnappers were requesting a ransom of N10m.
