According to a renter in the compound, the dead hung himself in the kitchen with a rope, a police source told our correspondent.

“He heard his kids yelling for him to go see Baba in the kitchen. The police source stated that as he dashed inside the kitchen, he discovered the tenant’s lifeless body hanging on a rope that was fastened to one of the kitchen windows’ burglary proof.

Punch online correspondent was called by Benjamin Hundeyin, the public relations officer for the state police, who verified the occurrence.

He said the family of the deceased asked the body be buried right away because of the dead’s age and religious beliefs.

“The DCB personnel from the division visited the scene and took pictures,” he stated.

Because of the deceased person’s age and religious preferences, the family would prefer that the body be buried right away rather than being placed in a mortuary.
