Aiyedatiwa appoints eight special advisers, six commissioners, and the head of service
Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa demanded on Friday that the recently sworn-in commissioners and special advisers regard their appointment as a call to service.

At the swearing-in ceremony for six commissioners and eight special advisers in Akure, the governor spoke and asked the new hires to view their appointment as a call to duty and to provide the necessary leadership throughout their tenure in public office.
It is a really important moment that you join as commissioners and special advisers. As such, it is incumbent upon you to devise innovative concepts and regulations intended for alleviating the hardships of our citizens.
In this case, we cannot afford to fail. Leading by example and being willing to give up extravagant lives are what it takes for us to be effective political leaders in this day and age.

The Special Advisers are; Alabi Johnson, Pastor Babalola Ayoade, Mr. Abdulganiy Muhammad, Prof. Simidele Odimayo, Mr. Summy Smart-Francis, Mrs. Olamide Falana, Mr. Olugbenga Omole, and Mr. Summy Smart-Francis.
Prior to this, the recently appointed Head of Service, Mr. Bayo Philip, urged state employees to recommit to the civil service, saying that under his leadership, tardiness or carelessness in the workplace would not be accepted, and that merit-based promotions would be encouraged.
Thanking Governor Aiyedatiwa for his confidence, Mr. Emmanuel Igbasan, speaking on behalf of the other appointees, pledged to back the state government.
