With his bold declaration, the rising star launches a new phase of his career as he joins the German powerhouses from Crystal Palace.

On Sunday, Bayern Munich revealed Olise as their newest summer signing. The gifted player will cost €53 million over the course of a five-year contract.

By making this swap, Olise is now joining Harry Kane, who also exchanged the Premier League for the dominant Bundesliga team.

The 2016 Olympic Games in Paris will be the French young international’s first competition, and he expressed his excitement about the transfer.

“The talks with Bayern were very positive, and I’m very happy to now be playing for such a big club. It’s a great challenge, and that’s exactly what I was looking for,” Olise told the club’s website.

Olise will report to Vincent Kompany, the new manager of Bayern, who recently joined from Burnley.

The left-footed player may be able to push his way into the starting lineup even though he was originally projected to be Leroy Sane’s backup.

Bayern Munich’s chief, Max Eberl, shared his excitement about the acquisition, stating, “Michael Olise is a player who can make the difference and attracted great interest with his style of play. We want new impetus in our team, new energy, new ideas – that’s what players like Michael Olise stand for.”

Eberl also highlighted Olise’s eagerness to join the club, adding, “During the talks, he quickly signalled that he really wanted to join FC Bayern. We’re very much looking forward to him. He will enrich our game.”

The fact that Olise is currently Bayern Munich’s fourth-most expensive signing in club history emphasizes the significance of this move.
