Dada Olusegun, President Bola Tinubu’s Special Advisor on Social Media, has downplayed worries about the President’s fleeting slippage while getting into a parade vehicle at the June 12 Democracy Day celebration in Abuja.
“Mr. President missed his step while climbing into the truck at the June 12 Democracy Day celebration and tripped,” the assistant wrote in a post on his X account on Wednesday. It was only a small error. He started the ceremonial rounds right away. Nothing wrong.

The aide’s remarks follow the release of videos that appeared to show the President momentarily losing his balance as he got into the car.
The President swiftly regained his balance and carried on with the proceedings, according to PUNCH Online.
The Eagles Square ceremony served as the centerpiece of a series of celebrations held around the country to honor Democracy Day, which is observed annually.
