Plateau governor applauds Osigwe’s election as the NBA presidency
Governor of Plateau State Caleb Mutfwang has congratulated Afam Osigwe (SAN), the newly elected president of the Nigerian Bar Association, from the bottom of his heart.
Additionally, Mutfwang praised the recently elected NBA Executive members. Gyang Bere, his Director of Press and Public Affairs, congratulated him in a statement on Tuesday.

The governor expressed faith in their coordinated strategy to steer the association into a future where justice and truth are the primary concerns for all Nigerians.
He applauded the NBA for holding a successful election, stating that this validates the organization’s essential function as the “hope of the common man and the conscience of the society.”
Mutfwang complimented Osigwe on his leadership abilities and commitment to the legal field. He also conveyed the optimism that the NBA will reach new heights thanks to his wealth of knowledge.

“The Governor believes that Osigwe’s leadership and vision will inspire NBA members to deliver efficient and effective legal services that will ultimately benefit the entire nation.
“On behalf of the Plateau State government and its people, Governor Mutfwang offered his congratulations to Mazi Osigwe and his team and prayed to God to grant them the wisdom and strength to provide effective and responsive leadership throughout their term.
“The Governor extended his appreciation to the outgoing President, Mr. Yakubu Maikyau (SAN), for his leadership and legacy of justice, fairness, and commitment to excellence during his tenure”, the statement read.

On Saturday, the voting took place from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. The live results for every position are available at https://go.ecnba.org/results/.
Osigwe defeated his closest competitor, Tobenna Erojikwe, the Chairman of the NBA-Institute of Continuing Legal Education Governing Council, who received 10,998 votes, and Chukwuka Ikwuazom (SAN), the former Chairman of the NBA Lagos Branch, who received 9,018 votes, as of the final compilation at 12:40 am on Sunday. Osigwe received 20,435 votes.
