Maresca, the manager of Chelsea, is prepared to contend for trophies
Chelsea FC’s new head coach, Enzo Maresca, has said that his squad is prepared to advance and contend for championships as he ushers in a new era for the London-based outfit.
In the first interview he did at Stamford Bridge, which Chelsea posted on YouTube on Monday, Maresca stated he was excited and ready for the task.

“Very happy, excited. It will be a fantastic journey,” Maresca stated, emphasising his eagerness to start working with the squad.
The Italian coach, who comes to Chelsea from a prosperous time at Leicester City, emphasised the significance of spending his first week at the team getting to know the players and surroundings.
Maresca showed particular excitement about working with Chelsea’s talented squad.

“One of the reasons I’m here is because I’m convinced that the squad is very good,” he said.
The new coach further stressed the importance of player development, stating, “If you can improve players, that means that you improve the team.”
In talking about his coaching philosophies, Maresca emphasized the value of having a distinct playing style.

While acknowledging his success at Leicester, he was quick to point out, “It’s already finished now. New chapter, new squad, new club.”
Given the lofty standards of the club, the Italian coach wants to keep Chelsea in the winning mindset.
“When you join a club like Chelsea, you have to know that it’s a club that has to win,” Maresca affirmed.

He declared his intention to go up against the best clubs vying for championships. Maresca also emphasized the value of forging close ties with Chelsea supporters.
“We need to create as soon as possible the right mentality, the right culture that the fans can be proud of,” he explained.
In order to foster a bond between the club and its supporters, the coach stated that he intends to employ an aggressive style both on and off the ball. Maresca went on to say he is excited to collaborate closely with the players.

“It’s always different when you spend day by day with the person,” he noted, stating the importance of building relationships beyond what can be observed in games.
Maresca urged patience and support in his letter to Chelsea supporters.
“Just trust the process, trust the idea. Being behind the team, for sure we’re going to enjoy our journey,” he said.
