Gov. of Kwara, the Emir, and others comfort Saraki over mother’s passing
The emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the governor of Kwara State, Abdul Rahman AbdulRazaq, and the state branch of the Peoples Democratic Party have expressed their condolences to Dr. Bukola Saraki, the former president of the Senate, on the passing of his mother, Mrs. Florence Saraki.
The former Senate President announced Florence Saraki’s passing on Tuesday.

In a statement released on Tuesday, June 18, Governor AbdulRazaq offers the Saraki family his sympathies on the loss of their matriarch. The statement is signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye.
“The Governor particularly commiserates with the former Senate President Abubakar Saraki, Senator Gbemisola Saraki, Mr. Olaolu Saraki, and the rest of the family on the sad development.
“The Governor urges the Sarakis to be consoled by the fine legacies of their matriarch.

“Governor AbdulRazaq prays to God to repose the soul of Chief Mrs Florence Saraki and uphold the family after her death”, the statement said.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari, the Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council and Emir of Ilorin, expressed his condolences to the former Senate President on the passing of his mother in his message as well.
Sulu-Gambari described the deceased “as a wonderful mother, a great philanthropist and virtuous wife of Dr. Olusola Saraki, the late Waziri of Ilorin whose contributions to humanity will forever be remembered.”

This is stated in a sympathy statement that Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, the spokesman for the emir, released on Wednesday.
“Alhaji Sulu-Gambari sends his heartfelt condolences to Dr. Bukola Saraki, a two-term governor of Kwara State and former Senate President of Nigeria as well as his siblings over the demise of their beloved matriarch.”
He also extends his condolences to both immediate and extended family members of the deceased, stressing that, “Late Madam Florence Morenike Saraki lived a fulfilled life with numerous accomplishments.”

Therefore, the monarch appealed to Almighty God for her soul to rest and for the families to have the strength to cope with the significant loss.
Professor Ali Ahmad, the former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, expressed his sorrow at Mrs. Saraki’s passing in a message.
The former speaker expressed sympathy to the Saraki family in a condolence letter he signed on Wednesday in Ilorin, characterizing their matriarch’s death as sad and unexpected.

He also emphasized Mama’s influence as a committed mother to her kids and a builder of bridges.
Ali sent his deepest sympathies to the whole Saraki family, advising them to find comfort in the influential life of their mother. He expressed particular sympathy for the president of the Eighth Senate on the unfortunate event, asking Allah to fortify his resolve and console him with the death of his mother.
He prayed to God Almighty to accept Mrs. Saraki’s return, pardon her transgressions, and offer her eternal peace.
