Osun Amotekun takes a security guy into custody for stealing air conditioners

A 25-year-old private security guard was detained by the Osun Amotekun Corps on Friday, according to the agency, for allegedly stealing nine air conditioners from Osogbo.

The corps commander, Brig-Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi (retd.), released a statement in which he said that Ebonyi State suspect Micheal Eze was taken into custody following his purported sale of the pilfered air conditioners to scrap dealers in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State.

“The suspect was arrested on Monday after the owners of the house he was engaged to guard in GRA, Osogbo, reported to Amotekun that their air conditioners had been stolen.

“After his arrest, he confessed to having stolen and sold the air conditioners, worth N400,000 each, to scrap buyers in Osogbo for N5,000 per one.
