An Osun road crash claims two lives
On Friday, a single accident outside Balogun Village, near Ikire, Osun State, claimed the lives of two travelers.
It was learned that the bus in question was traveling from Ekiti State to Lagos.
Although it was alleged that Federal Road Safety Corps and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps personnel arrived soon after the collision, the deceased were said to have passed away instantly.

The accident was confirmed by Kehinde Adeleke, the NSCDC’s Osun State spokeswoman.
Adeleke said, “Today, April 5, 2024, around 1336hrs, one Oma bus from Ekiti going to Lagos had a lone accident around Balogun village which claimed two lives instantly.”

She further mentioned that the injured parties in the collision received medical attention at a private hospital in Apomu.
In order to prevent the loss of life and property, Adeleke stated that Michael Adaralewa, the commandant of the Osun NSCDC, had urged all users of the road, particularly drivers, to always abide by traffic laws and regulations.
“He also said they should desist from excessive-speeding, urging them not to drink alcohol while driving,” he added.
